As we all know, winter here on the Gold Coast is a short-lived event and we are already gearing up for all of the new, exciting and inspired new Spring Interior Design trends that 2018 has to offer!
You never know what new trends are going to hit the market and explode, but we have listed our predictions below!
#1 Bohemian comeback
We are forecasting a lot of macramé and woven inspired accessories coming back on trend this spring. Spring Interior Design will mean incorporating amazing pieces of texture, pattern and colour through cushions, wall hangings, rugs and other accessory pieces into your home styling.
In addition to the interior introduction of tactile homewares, the last few years have seen a global demand for quality handmade items that the bohemian interior style loves to incorporate.
Who else had forgotten all about wallpaper? Tiles, sure.. artwork, great! But we are predicting an uprise in the demand of wallpaper within the interior design community this Spring!

Here are our top tips:
Welcome the tropics into your home with a feature leafy greenery wall, or create a coastal paradise with a wall-sized mural of the beach or ocean. (PS. Our furniture will work beautifully with either of these interior styles and create a coastal haven inside your very own home).
#4 Green Green Green
With the warmer months on the horizon, we are forecasting green to be the number one interior design colour selected for furniture, feature walls and accessories! Olive green or the Khaki colour has been slowly making it’s way back into the interior design world and we think this Spring and Summer, it is going to explode!
After years of rose gold taking over kitchen appliances, accessories and interiors in general, we predict that this Spring will be the time for gold to make its come back. Gold appliances, homewares and pops of gold through accessories, wall art frames and other homeware pieces will start showing up as soon as early August and we can’t wait!
#6 Coastal Artwork
As the warmer months approach, we are instinctively drawn to the ocean. The smell of salt in the air, the feeling of sand between our toes and the feeling we get as we stare out to sea… Why wouldn’t you want to introduce that feeling into your interior? Whether you’re living in an apartment in the city, a big house in the country or lucky enough to live by the sea, we’re predicting a demand for coastal inspired artwork.
