Designer Profile – Donna Guyler

Donna Guyler … have you heard the name? She’s one of the Gold Coast’s favourite Interior Designers, and we are so glad she loves a stop in at The Beach Furniture to complete her clients homes.

Well-known for her work in residential renovations, Donna can take the bleakest of homes and transform it into a functional, fresh and light filled sanctuary for her clients, helping them to gain the most out of their homes for years to come… She specialises in creating the ‘Contemporary Coastal’ styled interior for homes.

Inspired by our beachside lifestyle, Donna’s forte is turning ordinary homes into coastal inspired master pieces! Designing for her Gold Coast clients is made easy for Donna when she herself loves the ‘Coastal’ look.

In an interview with Ashleigh Kerr, Donna explains, “Home to me means comfort, relaxation, family, laughs, memories and friends.”

Being able to set aside her own personal style and preferences, she always takes on board her clients’ objectives in regards to renovating their own homes.

We’ve put together some of our most loved spaces by Donna that feature our furniture and homewares.

This ‘Family Retreat’ of a Palm Beach home Donna calls #projectesplanade, features our ‘Calypso Suite’ a Sofa & 2 Arm Chairs combo which is available in your choice of a 2.5 Seater and a 3 Seater Sofa (all pieces also sold separately) … Donna used this sofa suite but modified it by adding the thick blue and white stripe fabric to the upholstery … and doesn’t it look beautiful!

In this space you can also see our ‘Na Pali Buffet‘ (in the 3 door, white version … it’s also available in a 2 door and raw timber finish) … used here as a Entertainment Unit, which it is fantastic for as it offers so much storage!

Our ‘Antibes Hall Table‘ (in a 2 Drawer, white finish) has been used in the room to offer that extra table top for decor styling … giving the room it’s feel and character. (Our Antibes Hall Tables are available in 3 different sizes and also in a raw timber option)

Lastly this living space by Donna, features our ‘Avocca Coffee Table’ … it’s simple lines and glass top are great for this room to not crowd it or overdo it with furniture … but still have plenty of space for bits and pieces as you need in any living area.

The ‘Living Room’ of #projectesplanade Palm Beach home has two of our ‘St Tropez Occasional Chairs’ (a favourite furniture piece of ours for Donna Guyler’s work) … these chairs feature a thin stripe fabric, very popular for Hamptons and coastal inspired interiors.

And the best part … this property is available for holiday rental with Vogue Holiday Homes.

Next up we have #projectdaru … a full home renovation and interior design project by Donna.

Our ‘Blue Thira Lamp’ can be seen in the Dining space adding that pop of ‘navy’ to the soft coastal elegance of this room.

And this super beautiful living room features our ‘St Tropez Occasional Chairs‘ … and cushions from one of our favourites ‘Walter G Textiles’ … we love the way Donna has styled these mostly neutral rooms adding just that pop of soft blue tones … they are so peaceful and relaxed … still have a beauty to them that can only be achieved by someone with an amazing eye for detail.
